INtERVIEW WITH RAttLR

Rattlr is more than an artist—it’s an enigma. A collective of minds blending deep techno, hypnotic house, and ethereal soundscapes, Rattlr exists between worlds. Rooted in underground club culture and global influences, their music is a journey—pulling from ancient rhythms, modern electronic textures, and the raw energy of the dance floor. Whispers surround their identities: one might be a pilot, another in med school, and a third navigating the ad world. But in the end, does it matter? Rattlr isn’t about faces. It’s about frequency.

Their debut album, Garden of Eden, is a sonic exploration of temptation, transcendence, and the space between. Will you step through?

"You’ve been building momentum in the underground scene, and now your debut album, Garden of Eden, is on the horizon. What’s the vision behind it?"

"This album is about transformation. Garden of Eden is that moment before the fall, the tension between knowing and not knowing, between control and surrender. Rattlr isn’t just an artist—it’s a state of mind. A space where the spiritual meets the underground, where faith and temptation exist in the same breath. The sound reflects that duality: hypnotic house, deep techno, ethereal vocals, and raw energy. It’s dance music, but it’s also something deeper… something personal."

"There’s a lot of mystery surrounding Rattlr. People are starting to say it’s just another name for Sam Boye. Can you confirm or deny?"

Rattlr is who I become when the lights are low, when the beat takes over, when words aren’t enough. It’s not a mask, it’s a revelation. Sam is the architect, the producer, the strategist. Rattlr is what happens when you stop thinking and just feel. So, is it an alter ego? Maybe. Or maybe it’s the most honest version of me."

"Your connection to Miami’s underground scene is undeniable. You were practically living at Space Miami. How did that shape you as an artist?"

"Space Miami is a vortex. Time bends in there—morning, night, doesn’t matter. I spent countless hours studying the energy, watching how a room breathes, how the crowd ebbs and flows. It taught me patience, tension, release. When you’re in that space long enough, you stop thinking about music as ‘tracks’ and start feeling it as movement. That’s what shaped me."

Your sound has been evolving in the underground scene. Who are some artists that have influenced your journey?"

"I take inspiration from artists who understand energy and movement—CamelPhat, Nitefreak, Cassian, and Dixon. They create music that isn’t just heard, but felt. There’s something about the way they balance emotion, rhythm, and atmosphere that resonates with me. But beyond names, it’s also about moments—the kind you experience at sunrise sets, or when a track hits just right in a dark room. That’s what drives me."

"Speaking of energy, your sets are immersive. What’s the key to guiding a crowd?"

"You don’t control a crowd. You guide them. It’s a conversation—call and response. You start with a whisper, then pull them deeper. Some DJs want instant reactions, drops that shake the floor. I want something that lingers. A track that makes you close your eyes and let go. A moment that stays with you long after the music stops."

"Your debut album is rumored to have some insane collaborations. Can you give us a taste of what’s coming?"

"I brought in people who understand the vision. Voices that haunt and heal. Artists who blur the line between reality and dream state. Some names will surprise you. Some won’t be revealed at all. I like the idea that people will discover Garden of Eden in layers, just like the music itself."

"There are a lot of rumors about Rattlr’s past. Some say you used to be in corporate, others say you’re living multiple lives. Any truth to that?"

"Rumors are fun, aren’t they? The truth is, I exist in multiple worlds—some of them in boardrooms, some at 30,000 feet, some in places I won’t even name. Music is just one of the languages I speak. And as for where I come from? Let’s just say not all of us share the same roots, but we move as one."

🔥 Rattlr’s Garden of Eden is coming soon. Will you be ready? 🔥
